Introduction

Hi, My name is Lisa. I am planning on being a media specialist. I enjoy reading and writing. I like to travel. I have been to many countries in Europe. I spent most of the time in Europe in Italy and Germany. I would really love to go back to Germany. I have also traveled around the Midwest in the States. I would really love to visit Russia and China. I would also like to visit Tennessee, Alaska, and Washington state. (I am a HUGE Twilight fan.) Aside from reading, writing, and traveling, I like to bike and hike. Currently, my bike is broken, and I'm broke so no biking for me. :( That is a basic introduction to me.
As I am planning on being a media specialist this is my blog about all things media center. I hope you get some interesting and insightful ideas from it. Please feel free to comment. Thanks!

  1. Great intro! Hope to see a pic of your very own library in the near future.

  2. Travel is good. Do you by chance check out the libraries in other countries? Are they different than ours?

  3. I haven't had a chance to check out any libraries. I was in a high school in Germany, but I don't remember seeing a media center. I was really sad when I went to Rome that I was unable to see the Vatican Library.

  4. I taught for a year in Germany right out of college, and you are right LisaRose when you say you didn't see a media center because by and large they don't have them in the schools. They rely on public libraries for that. My experience is that libraries are pretty much the same except for they usually are a little behind technology wise. For example, the university I went to still had a card catalog that was on microfiche and not an OPAC (online catalog). This was in 1996.

I would also love to go to Russia. Such a beautiful, vast country.

Happy trails to all of us!
